CTL: A Path to Professional Development

Celebrating its second semester of offering professional development opportunities, the Center for Teaching & Learning (CTL) at Wright College is excited to present a diverse and engaging roster of sessions for Spring 2014.  Find the program guide here:  http://bit.ly/1duRHm7.

Join us for the  season opener, featuring Dean Kevin Li: Situated Cognition and Its Implication on Instruction, Tuesday, January 21 at 1:30-2:30pm, in the President’s Conference Room.

Situated cognition has become a hot topic in cognitive science, encompassing a broad range of disciplines and theories concerning the relationship between mind, body, and the world. Join Dean Li as he compares and contrasts several learning theories and argues that knowledge is situated, being in part a product of the activity, context, and culture.

ALL faculty & staff are welcome. You will receive credit through continuing education and a Certificate of Participation. Most importantly, you will learn new things while spending time with friends and colleagues.
