Earth Day 2016 is Almost Here!

Thursday, April 21, Wright’s Student Environmental Club will be hosting the college’s 16th annual Earth Day. Come celebrate Wright’s status as one of the greenest community colleges in Illinois! (Here are some images from last year’s event)

The festivities will kick off at 9:30 a.m. on the north side of the Science Building where three bur oaks will be planted to celebrate Wright’s Tree Campus USA status. Then at 10 a.m. join the Environmental Club in the Campus Center to celebrate the Earth with information, education, and free giveaways!

There will be more than 20 tables displaying environmental topics including:

  • clean energy
  • environmentally-friendly practices and products
  • “green” voting
  • organic farming
  • palm oil
  • perils of factory farming
  • and much more!

This Earth Day, show your support for your fellow students, fellow humans, animal friends, and the planet. Then, learn what you can do to make a difference!

Happy Earth Day!
