Fall 2015 CTL Schedule Announced for Faculty and Staff
Prof. Claire Boeck kicks of the Fall series on September 9 at 3:30 p.m. with “Soft Skills: Sync or Sink?”
Additional September topics include Prof. Jan Knapp-Caporale’s recent travels among the Maasai of East Africa and the Tutsi of Rwanda … Prof. Patrick Ham’s suggestions for integrating 3-D printing technologies into the classroom … Prof. Sydney Hart’s guidelines for writing a successful sabbatical proposal … and much more!
Attendees will receive a Certificate of Professional Development and credit through Continuing Education.
The CTL will also feature three Book Club discussion groups:
- A Hope in the Unseen: An American Odyssey from the Inner City to the Ivy League by Ron Suskind (facilitated by Phillip Virgen)
- David and Goliath: Underdogs, Misfits, and the Art of Battling Giants by Malcolm Gladwell (facilitated by Mira Kolodkin and Sara Schupack)
- The Meaning of Human Existence by Edward O. Wilson (facilitated by Polly Hoover)
