Meet Inés Lagos!

Ines Lagos 2Please welcome Inés M. Lagos, Wright’s new Adult Education Manager!

Inés has more than 13 years of experience in adult education, including as an ESL Instructor at Truman College and in a variety of leadership and teaching positions at Asian Human Services’ Literacy and Education for Adults and Families (LEAF) Program.

Inés recently presented at the Illinois Adult and Continuing Educators Association Conference and has also presented at the Adult Learning Resource Center.  She holds an M.A. in linguistics, with a specialization in TESOL, from UIC, and a B.A. in anthropology from DePaul.

As part of Wright’s Adult Ed team, Inés will support and work closely with adult educators, both onsite and off campus, providing guidance and support with everything from materials requests to professional development.

Inés is most excited about having the opportunity to support students’ success throughout their transitions from adult ed into credit programs into post-secondary work. She also looks forward to working with off-site programs to ensure students continue their studies at Wright College.

Originally from St. Louis, Inés lives in Lincoln Square, where she enjoys music and has plans to take a Samba class at the Old Town School of Folk Music. She also plans to eventually make a return visit to Argentina, the home country of her parents and home to many of members of her family.
