Wright College Aquatic Facilities to Re-open February 9th
After an exhaustive review of best practices, City Colleges re-opened its aquatic facilities at Wright College, as well at Daley College, Kennedy-King College, and Olive-Harvey College. The pools are scheduled to re-open on Monday, February 9, 2015 for CCC’s Spring II session and will offer credit and continuing education classes.
Registration for Spring II swim classes will be available beginning January 12th. For continuing education swim classes, children age three and under must be accompanied by a parent/guardian in the pool during each class, and children over the age of 3 must have a parent/guardian present during their classes.
CCC credit and adult education students, faculty, and staff with a valid CCC ID, as well as continuing education swimming course participants over the age of 18, will be able to take advantage of lap swim hours.
Each pool will be overseen by a newly created coordinator position charged with oversight of daily operations and compliance.
All swimming participants, or a legal guardian if the swimmer is less than 18 years old, will be required to complete an Assumption of Risk form, a Medical Questionnaire, a filing of Emergency Contacts and a Swimming Proficiency Assessment prior to class participation.
City Colleges is very pleased to continue bringing high-quality and safe aquatics programs to students, faculty, staff and the community.
